 Our History

We have been in the coin dealing business for over 65 years, providing expert advice and quality service to our customers. Our team is passionate about numismatics and strives to provide the best possible experience for collectors and investors alike. Central Coin is proud to carry on the family tradition of excellence in numismatics.  Originally founded by Edward "Ed" Marusak in the early 1960's the store was a staple business in 

Detroit's gold boom of the 1980's.  With the onset of high fashion in the late 80's the coin shop 

evolved into a shared space Coin shop and Jewelry Store as C.Louise Jewelers.  

Now with pride and honor James Marusak, son of Edward, leads the family business

 into the next evolution of business. 

As of August 2023 the new business will be known as Central Coin and

 will always continue to provide the honest service we built our reputation on.
